Pretty Bonnet

The nuts and bolts background is a stamp set by stampendous, I used grey ink on white copier paper for both the background and the inside of the card.

The image was coloured using promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. all finished with some die cut cogs coloured with promarkers to match the robot.

All dressed up challenge 66

Hello everyone

Its the 15th so it must be once again time for a new challenge over at all dressed up.  As usual our theme is anything goes, as long as you use one of our images.  If you need some there are freebies on our blog here

This month I decided to dig deep and found some older images.  These sometimes collect dust, and I thought I'd use them to inspire you

Keeping with the recent spring theme on my blog - its a masculine card, but has some cute little critters on it.

Its a different shape for me - I brought these card blanks from a recent craft fair - and love them!

I used the froggie image, and coloured them with promarkers.  The sentiment I typed out and printed to add on.  Backing papers are once again from a Nitwit digi kit, left over from a project I made recently.  finished with brown matting and layering and a hexagon die to cut out the background.

I hope you like them - please check out our blog for some amazing inspiration from our other DT.  The challenge runs until 14th April.

Also checkout our Facebook page too, and there's also a challenge running there - use 1 of something, use 2 of something and use 3 of something... You can enter both to win some gorgeous images of your choice.

Good luck everyone we can't wait to see what you make.

Spring's almost here part 2

Hello everyone

Part 2 of my spring themed makes. As previously mentioned, I'm so glad the weather is starting to warm up and the gardens are coming back to life.  I always feel so much better in the sun! So inspired to make spring themed cards, this is part 2 of my latest makes

This time using a Hunkydory stamp set, and the nitwit digi papers again. I brought these from C&C in the last months bundle and just adore them.

There's a couple of variations I've made using similar techniques.  I went for CAS this time though.

No pastel colours this time though - nice bright zingy colours to chase away the rain!

Both were coloured with promarkers, and as I've said the papers were from a Nitwit digi collection, except the pink spotty card which was from Anne Marie designs.
I fussy cut out the stamped images, before adding them to my card with foam pads for dimension.

I'd like to enter them into:

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a message - I love to read them, your emails are so much better than my usual ones!

Springs almost here! part 1

Hello everyone

I'm so glad spring if finally around the corner, I love spring flowers, and my mini daffoldils are blooming all around my garden  - They are jst so pretty!

Its inspired me to make some spring cards or at least some card using spring colours.

My first one to share today is using a tiddly inks images.

I love the happy pinks, yellows and greens!

I coloured her with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils.
The card blank is a tattered lace die, cut and layered with backing papers I printed from a nitwit digi kit, and finished with a scrap of ribbon from my box. (does everyone have a box full of bits, I wonder sometimes why I keep them all!)

I die cut a few flowers and finished them with pearls, as well as adding a few pearls down the side.

I hope you like her, I haven't added a sentiment as I don't know whether to use as a mothers day card, or a birthday card.

I'd like to enter this into:

Addicted to stamps - pastel colours
Dragonfly dreams - girly and die cut (card blank and flowers)
All sorts - spring inspiration
A bit more time to craft - anything goes
Card mania - pastel colours
Paradise of stamps - spring

All dressed up new releases Feb 2017

Hello everyone

For those dressie fans, you will have already seen the new releases from our fab DT, and this is part two of your inspiration.

Our new images are:
Be My Valentine

Some bunny loves you

Love heart

Little Birdie

I used Love heart for my inspiration

I used some lili of the valley paper pads (they are Nitwit designs so although you can't buy the pads anymore, you can download from the Nitwit website)

I coloured up the image very simply and layered it up so although its difficult to see in the photo it is decoupaged.

I then used a couple of printed flowers and a tag to complete my easel card.  I used lovely bright spring colours - although I have recently found my love of navy in my cards...

Please check out our blog and see what the other DT have made...

Thanks for stopping by

Hello everyone.

Its again time for our fabulous monthly challenge at all dressed up.

As usual its anything goes, (only rule is to use an All dressed up image), and you can win three of Wendy's gorgeous images if Mr Random thingy picks you!

This month I've used one of the Christmas images, however you wouldn't know it was, its very versatile.

She's from the Party season girls trio, they come together and separate if you purchase them from Etsy

Here she is...

I coloured her with both promarkers and spectrum noir pencils adding tiny white gel pen dots onto the accessories. The backing card is from Anne Marie's designs, and the sentiment is a Woodware one from a set called Hand drawn sentiments.  Finished with a little ribbon.

If you want more inspiration check out the blog as our very talented DT have added their creations too, otherwise we also have a Pinterest page with hundreds of pinned images.

Check back on the 22nd too for some new releases from Wendy.

All dressed up challenge 65

Hello everyone

phew what a busy Christmas season that was!  every year I sit back at the end and wonder how I managed to fit everything in.

Over at all dressed up we have our latest challenge, which is as usual anything goes as long as you use an all dressed up image

For the chance to win 3 images all you have to do is make something with one of the images (it can be anything not just a card) and then post it with a link back to your blog.... simple!

The images can be brought from Esty or there are some freebies on our blog.

here's my inspiration this month.

She's called 'time to shine' and is gorgeous isn't she!

I printed off a spotty background onto cream pearlescent card, and using kraft card cut out the doily and side bar using various dies.

On the bar you can just see the word 'birthday', this was stamped with versa mark leaving a watermark effect.

She was coloured using my spectrum noir pencils, I went for a really soft look this time definitely 'less is more' for this.  Finally the sentiment is a Simon says stamp one.

I hope you like it.  please join our challenge and even if you don't want to do that, hop over and check out the other DT fantastic work for inspiration, there are some amazing projects on there!

See you all soon - thanks for dropping by and leaving me a message, it makes my day to read them!

December new releases.

Hello everyone

its time for some more inspiration following our December new releases.  ON the 15th some of our DT introduced you to the amazing new images, and now its time for the other half of the DT to showcase.

they are:

Merry and Bright

Take to the slopes

The night before Christmas

And the one I used this month which is called Winter must haves

There are so many useful elements on this stamp, I decided only to use a couple to make my card, and as its Christmas and I'm still churning them out, I thought I'd use some paper piecing to make them stand out.

The backing paper was printed from a pink petticoat range called Nordic Christmas tree.  I then used craft artist to separate and copy the images, before printing onto the back ground.

I cut out squares using a tattered lace die, cut out the digis and layered them onto the squares, before adding glitter and some puffy snow for the bobble on the hat.

It was so quick, but really effective.

Please hop over to our blog or Facebook for more inspiration, and don't forget we have competitions running on both of these too, to enter, simply use an all dressed up image and follow our rules.  You can win three digits of your choice!

Thanks for stopping by - see you all again soon
